Who is Jo Muirhead?
Jo is all about connecting people to purpose through inspiration and innovation. Author of The Entrepreneurial Clinician and creator of, The Book Of Evidence. She is also the founder of PurpleCo — a team of specialist allied health consultants dedicated to helping people who experience injury, illness and trauma reclaim their lives through work.
Jo graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Health Science,
Rehabilitation Counselling in 1994.

Who is Dr. Amy Parks?
Dr. Amy Fortney Parks brings with her over 30 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families as both an educator and psychologist. She is a passionate “BRAIN-ENTHUSIAST” and strives to help everyone she works with understand the brain science of communication, activation, and relationships.
Dr. Parks has a Doctorate in Educational Psychology with a specialty in developmental neuroscience. She is a Child & Adolescent Psychologist as well as the founder and Clinical Director of WISE Mind Solutions LLC and The Wise Family Counseling, Assessment & Parent Coaching in Virginia. ABOUT WEH'S SESSION
Who is Weh Yeoh?
Weh Yeoh is the founder of OIC Cambodia, an initiative that aims to establish speech therapy as a profession in Cambodia. He has a BA in Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney and an MA in Development Studies from the University of NSW. He has volunteered with people with disabilities in Vietnam, interned in India, studied Mandarin in Beijing, and milked yaks in Mongolia. He started OIC in 2013, and handed over leadership to a local Cambodian team in 2017. He is now co-founding Umbo, a social enterprise bridging the gap for rural children to access allied health services.

Who is Jill Johnson Young?
Jill Johnson-Young, wears a number of hats. She is the co-founder of Central Counselling services in California, is a prolific author, having published 5 books, 3 of them for children, and is an international speaker on all things dying, death and Dementia - some of the least sexy subjects currently known to humankind.
Her career has included more than a decade with hospice as a medical social worker and as director of social workers, chaplains and grief staff.
Jill has been widowed twice, with children, and is married to a funeral director. She is known as an interactive, humorous, and real presenter who makes a difference in the approach to dying, death and dementia for anyone who attends her presentations.

Who is Julie Bajic Smith?
Dr. Julie Bajic Smith is a registered psychologist who has over 15 years of clinical experience in aged care. Julie is a board-approved psychology supervisor and she regularly delivers clinical supervision to intern psychologists and other mental health professionals. Julie is also an experienced researcher and writer. Her doctorate research examined wellbeing in home care workers and postdoctoral research focused on supported decision-making in dementia. She has significant experience in assessment and the application of psychological treatments to older adults and recently published a book on enhancing emotional wellbeing in residential aged care environments. Julie has developed several preventative psychological group programs for older adults entering residential care which won the Positive Living in Aged Care Awards.

Who is Mark Silver?
Mr Mark Silver, Social Worker, Co-coordinator Swinburne University Wellbeing Clinic has been a Social Worker in Aged Care & Disability for over 40 years with a keen interest in Narrative, Reminiscence and Stories approaches in his work. He has been working at Swinburne University coordinating a Wellbeing Clinic for Older Adults for the past 10 years; advocating strongly for a greater presence of mental health professionals, especially social workers withing age care settings.
He has recognised the importance of intergenerational programs which foster better relationships, communication and understanding between the generations, breaking down stereotypes and building relationships which add meaning and purpose to both the young and old alike. He is also interested in building bridges between the artistic and therapeutic worlds. Both are involved with emotional wellbeing, with healing and the transformation of lives at the centre but they work in separate professional and cultural spaces and all too often lack a common language and framework. In 2021, Mark was a recipient of the Australian Social Worker of the Year Award (Inaugural).

Kylie is a Rehabilitation Counsellor who has more than 15 years of experience in Case Management and Client-focused services with 10 years of experience in Occupational Rehabilitation. During this time, she has worked for both Private and Government organizations.
She has experience across both the Workers’ Compensation, Income protection, and CTP markets. She has experience with Return to work (Same employer) as well as Redeployment (New Employer) and has experience in managing Occupational Stress programs.
She has well-developed skills in Vocational, Earning capacity, and Medico-legal assessments as well as Adjustment to Disability and Change Counseling.

Who is Tacha Kasper?
Tacha Kasper, LMFT, is a psychotherapist, coach, and educator who specializes in bringing her lived and clinical experience into integrated trauma-informed mental health for the healing benefit of people living with chronic health conditions and their loved ones.
She has had chronic pain and illness (IC/BPS) for 17 years and is also a Triple Negative breast cancer survivor. She is the Founder and President of the Chronic Illness and Pain Institute [CIPI]™ and Healing Point Counseling and Wellness Center, a group practice providing therapeutic services to all California residents.

Annie is a Registered Nurse who has over 16 years of experience. She has a background of both public and private health sector, as well as studies in Law and Computer Science. Annie works with Purple Co as a Nurse, as well as the Practice Manager of our service.

Who is Alyssa Elgersma?
My name is Alyssa Elgersma. I have my Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health. I am currently the Program Administrator of Real Connections Counseling. My duties include conducting initial consultations, pairing clients with the counselor, as well as billing.
My professional therapist goal is to combine grief and yoga in the counseling room.

Greetings from California, USA! I have a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California in Santa Barbara.
I have worked in the field of mental health providing psychotherapy to clients in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient settings, and private practice.
I have extensive experience in clinical supervision and administration, as well as private practice.
I provide clinical supervision, oversight, training, and administration for various nonprofit agencies in Los Angeles County.
In my private practice, I work with people who are coping with depression, anxiety, or trauma. In my experience, I have found that these 3 areas of practice are closely related and many people experience a combination of these emotions based on their previous experiences.
